unbelievable. this season was u n b e l i e v a b l e. i am so proud of this team. the way we started was quite shaky and not very enjoyable, but we figured it out eventually. there were doubts of even making the playoffs. i remember sometime around the superbowl, we started stringing some wins together and building our confidence and then all of the reporters on twitter began to tweet ‘looks like the rangers are playing football at practice today, guess thats a sign of a confident team.’ and that just stuck in my head because i remember the warm feeling i got inside. seeing the energy from this team after that turning point was amazing. we were lucky enough to be apart of not one, but two, stadium series games and i rewatch those quite often because they were pretty amazing. i went to a game as well this year and it was one of the greatest experiences ever. we lost our captain as well. you could tell it was hard on some of the team at first but i think we really came together and welcomed marty. the first series was pretty fun, the third period of game seven had me very nervous and i do recall. the second series- wow. i don’t know what to say. game one was exhilarating, and it had me pretty confident. the next three were disastrous and then with the unexpected loss of france st. louis, i saw something beautiful come from this team. brotherhood. the boys rallied around marty and fought back to win the series after being down three to win. we deserved it. the eastern conference finals were quite frightening and there was a lot of controversy but i believe we won because we deserved it. also when richards waved the whole team over to get a photo with the prince of wales trophy i got a bit emotional. the stanley cup final was frustrating those first three games. heartbreaking. game four was stressful as hell, but we held on with a win and i’d like to really thank henrik lundqvist on that one. going out the way we did was a little disappointing, but the amount of pride i had in this team overpowered that. i am so fucking proud to be a fan of the new york rangers. what an unforgettable season. thanks for the memories, boys. i’m looking forward to next season. we’ll get it. i believe.
